The 12th Street Rat Bastard Soap Box Derby will be happening on

Sunday July 23rd in the afternoon

The race will be held in The West Bottoms on Beardsley Road, just below Downtown in Kansas City.

Directions

Take the 12th Street Bridge down to the West Bottoms.

At the bottom of the bridge turn right on Liberty.

Go one block, turn right on 11th Street.

At the end of the block, the address is 1409 W 11th Street

Go to the third floor. go through the pink door. 

             Arrive as early as 1 pm.  Race will be around 3 or so.

The rules are simple, build a car, race it down the hill, win prizes.  Or at least a trophy.  There are no rules for what the car has to look like or be.

We're looking for Racers, Volunteers, Spectators, Sponsors

Migration, for the purposes of this presentation, can best be defined as the periodic movement of an animal from the place where it has been living to a new area and its subsequent return journey to the original home. Martin and Earl sequester themselves from civilization, attempting to make a map back to a place they never started from. They take a migratory journey through memories, narratives, and objects to piece together some sense of themselves in the blinding face of the sublime.
